My life's experience with coil-spring mattresses is that the very expensive ones would be comfy but there always seem to be compromises of one form or another. I found the memory foam to be the best I've experienced in terms of a restful night's sleep. I found however that I often awoke feeling the damp of having perspired and I'd read this is an issue associated with the conventional memory foam mattresses. I'd also read that latex was a solution to this and that the all-natural latex mattresses were best in terms of durability, evironmentally friendliness and minimal, not unhealthy off-gassing. I became aware of the different latex production methods and found this Paramount Bedding Sawgrass to be of an ideal construction: 6" of Dunlop-process for firm support topped with 3"... Read more

I would rate it plush on firmness but it supports well. Have Had it for 4+ months. It is very heavy 2 people required to handle. Sides do not have extra support . Sleeps well. Priced well under comparible latex mattress.

Once I got the platform bed ready, it was quite a job to unpack the mattress by myself. I recommend you get someone to help you with this step.
Once I had it on the bed...there was no "latex smell". I made it and slept on it that night. I loved it immediately...no "getting used to it", it was simply comfortable from the first night.
It warms up faster than the old innerspring mattress did, and seems to sleep warmer. For winter, sleeping alone, it'll be great. I need fewer blankets to stay toasty. Not sure yet how it'll be when the nights are warmer next summer.
For comfort and a great value, I highly recommend this mattress.
